Cabot's Annual Gala Fundraiser Event
EVENING AT THE PUEBLO
COMMUNITY PARTNER. ADVOCATE. EDUCATOR. HUMANITARIAN.
These are qualities long associated with Cabot Yerxa, one of the Coachella Valley’s original homesteaders. Cabot championed other peoples, cultures and traditions. He also believed that through strong community ties people thrived. He shared his stories not only to entertain visitors at his Pueblo, but also to educate and remind people of the determination, respect and friendships the early desert dwellers settlers needed to survive.
The Cabot’s Pueblo Museum Board of Directors will recognize this years recipient of the Cabot’s Pueblo Museums Award of Distinction to Harold Matzner at their annual Evening at the Pueblo celebration. “For years this honoree has made the Coachella Valley a better place to live. To us, Harol Matzner clearly signifies all the best qualities Cabot Yerxa held himself to, and wanted for his community,” stated John Mahoney, Cabot’s Pueblo Museum Board Chair. This Gala and will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Pueblo. The museum will be closed to the public.
Cabot’s Pueblo Museum is the only homestead museum in the Coachella Valley. At the Pueblo visitors are transported back in time to experience and be inspired by the men and women who helped establish the incredible Valley we enjoy today.
