Your support through donations helps Cabot's Museum Foundation to keep the legacy and life of Cabot Yerxa alive.

We currently have three programs you may choose to support:

General Fund
These donations go directly to our team who work daily to provide tours, greet our guests and share the story of Cabot Yerxa. The general fund gives us the chance to upgrade computers and equipment, buy paper and light bulbs (LED bulbs, of course for the environment), and pay staff, train docents and volunteers and so many other parts of our daily operations.

Collection Preservation
Your gifts help to preserve and protect the artifacts and treasures at Cabot's Pueblo Museum. This includes the pottery, art and household object. It also includes all of the documents and journals that are part of the hand written history left by Cabot Yerxa that capture his time homesteading, his journeys across the United States, Cuba and France. Preservation is an on-going process with the goal of maintaining these treasures for all future generations.

Pueblo Preservation
The Pueblo and other buildings are need of major repair and improvements to restore them to their original condition when Cabot Yerxa was alive. The priority currently is the Hopi-style Pueblo which has an estimated $160,000 or more cost for restoration and repair. This project is based on an exhaustive report in in 2010. Phase one begins with a historical structure report (HSR), which may cost upwards of $80,000. The HSR would be followed by a repair project with an estimated price tag of $80,000 including roof repairs, adobe upkeep and building maintenance.
